What a wonderful, wonderful idea. Even if you don’t carry it through with the wedding, having an Alice in Wonderland bridal shower is a crazy awesome idea!

You can set a long table as the tea party from the book or movie and enjoy a wonderful outdoor afternoon of celebrations.

Party favors can be “drink me” vials which have lemon drop shots in them.

Inappropriate?

Of course not.

Fun?

Yes. We think so.

This image was just too cute not to share. I have always been a HUGE fan of Scrabble (cause I’m a geek) and this photo makes me so happy.

It would be so cute on a scrabble themed wedding invite. I have even seen scrabble wedding cakes that are incredible.

Either way, scrabble themed wedding or not, this photo would be perfect for a geek engagement announcement or save the date card.

I love, love, love a rustic wedding! The casual dress wear, the outdoor settings, the decorations – it’s all wonderful. Rustic weddings create quite a scene. Decorated with natural materials such as wood, cotton and flowers, the scene is natural, beautiful, light and airy.

One of the loveliest rustic wedding brides I have ever seen was wearing a white sundress and cowboy boots. The look  suited her completely and she looked right at home at her outdoor ceremony. Keep the look casual, but elegant and you’ll be spot on.

Decorate minimally. Let nature be your decor. Have the wedding outside with only a few chairs and flowers. Use woods and vines to create an archway.

Place a table full of photos near the reception area. Use black and white photos in antique frames to keep with the rustic theme. If you are unsure of other decorations, do a quick rustic wedding photo search and you’ll find plenty of creative ideas to keep you busy!

These guys have a special place in my heart.  This Katamari Theme Wedding is one of the most bad-ass things I have ever seen! I wish I could get a closer look at the headgear so that maybe I can make one for halloween!

For those of you who don’t know, I am a Katamari freak! In fact, I carved my halloween pumpkin last year in the shape of the prince rolling his katamari.  Yes, I am that kind of geek.

I have to say that this is the best rockabilly bride photo that I have ever seen! She is simply gorgeous.

Kudos to the groom for going the whole nine yards with the sideburns and that bad-ass suit that he’s wearing.

Also, that bride has just got it going on! She’s amazing. The hair, the veil, the flowers, the dress, the everything!

I love, love, love talking about all the crazy weddings that I have come across on the internet. As a wedding blog owner, trust me, I have seen it all. According to my research, they seem to come from one of four categories.

1. Hobby Weddings. This might include a hockey themed wedding or a bowling themed wedding. Don’t believe there is such a thing? Google it. Hobby weddings are actually quite popular, especially when both the bride and groom love the hobby.

2. TV or Movie Related Weddings. These are usually some of the most eye catching and provoking weddings that are featured online. I have seen more Star Wars wedding cakes than I care to remember. But hey, whatever floats your boat.

I get all geeked out every time I think about a Star Wars wedding! If you’re thinking of having one, be sure that you go all out and do it right, or you’ll just end up looking cheap and silly.  Here is a great example of one couple who did it up right!!
