Give Your Guests a Slice of Heaven
Look at these gorgeous tiny little wedding cakes.
Just look at em!
These are found at The Yummy Cake Company and are meant to be boxed up and given to guests as favors at the end of the wedding.
I’ve never been to a wedding where the favor was my own personal small wedding cake, but I would love it if someone presented me with one of these! They are beautiful and I can bet that they are pretty darn tasty!
I’m not sure how much they sell for each, but really, you could not get a better wedding favor. This is spectacular compared with some of the other crap that I have seen given away at weddings!

Amazing Cupcakery for a Small Beach Wedding
Sometimes small weddings literally take the cake. We had cupcakes for our small beach wedding, but they were of the Day of the Dead variety.
These, however, are not only perfect for a beach themed wedding, but are quite lovely. The presentation is flawless and I can bet you that they are delicious.
Do you plan on having cupcakes at your wedding? If so, how do you plan to present them and how many are you having?
I’d love some feedback on this one.

Icosahedron Die Cake
Here’s another one for our Geek Wedding Cake series. This Icosahedrom die had to have been made for some die hard D & D players.
I have to say that I love it though. I’m thinking it was probably used as the groom’s cake for the wedding. By looking at the candles, you can tell that the cake was make to clearly go with the color scheme of the wedding.
Either way, I think it’s geek-tastic! Here’s to all you D & D players out there!

Beautiful Button Wedding Cake
If you are planning a simple, yet sweet wedding, this could very well possibly be the cake of your dreams.
This sweet candy button wedding cake is just gorgeous and elegantly simple.
This cake is an almond pound cake iced in vanilla buttercream and fondant with royal icing candy dots. Sure to delight. From a candy cake collection on Postcards & Pretties.
I think this would be perfect for any non-traditional wedding that is just trying to stay sweet and simple. Also great for those lovely rainbow colored weddings where all the bridesmaids wear different colored dresses.

Non Traditional Wedding Cakes
If nothing about you says white, fluffy and sweet, you are probably going to want a non traditional wedding cake! These bad-ass wedding cakes can be of just about any variety, including cupcakes and candy tables, which are growing in popularity.
Wedding cupcakes are usually stacked on a tiered stand, which makes them sort of resemble a traditional wedding cake. Candy tables are simply tables which are covered in different sized glass jars which are filled with all different kinds of candy. If you want your guests to be awake well into the wee hours for your reception, the candy table is the way to go.
For today’s wedding porn, I thought that I would show you some photos of some pretty bad-ass wedding cakes. These are non traditonal at best and strange at worst.
I cannot tell you how much I love this skull cake! I can only hope that the bride wore a black and red wedding dress! And had tattoos! Lots of them.
Ok, so I may be a little prone to exaggeration, but this Mario Wedding Cake is the best wedding cake in the world! Again, I hope that the bride and groom dressed the part, but even if they didn’t, they still get my vote for the best geek wedding cake award!
The Mario cake is beautiful and well executed. That’s one thing about having a non traditional cake. Just because you are doing something unusual doesn’t mean that it has to look crappy! It should be beautiful in it’s very own way!
Speaking of geeks, this next one is the ultimate in grooms cakes for the geek guy.
Again, it’s beautifully done and I’m sure the groom just about wet his geeky little tux pants when he saw this cake!
I wonder what the wedding cake looked like?
Ok, since this post has turned into sort of a geek fest, let me include another favorite of mine. The Katamari wedding cake.
I’m not ashamed to tell you that I carved my pumpkin last Halloween into a katamari shape. And it was almost as bad-ass as this cake. I have to admit that I play Katamari quite a bit, so this cake is right up my alley!
Since I’ve been biased toward geek cakes, for fair journalism purposes, I’ll include a non traditional wedding cake that I think is hideous, but that I’m sure the redneck bride and groom were totally proud of.
That’s the point, though of non-traditional weddings, you get to do what you want and say “fuck you” to everyone else. I’m sure there had to be someone in the wedding party’s family saying, “My God, Jimbob, why in the hell would they do that to a wedding cake?”
Either way, like I said, having a non traditional wedding cake is all about getting what you want and giving a hearty middle finger to tradition. So folks, even though I think your cake embodies everything that’s wrong with our nation, I salute you!
