Budget – What Budget?

One of the best things about being a bride is the shopping! However, when the costs start adding up, you may have to revisit your budget and look at some things that may be unpleasant.  What if you went nuts with the cake and now you can’t afford the party favors you had your heart set on?  There are a few ways to avoid this heart-breaking madness -

1. Review your budget after every purchase.  If you have a wedding planner, work closely with them to make sure that the budget is wrapped up tight and you are doing everything in your power to keep things running smoothly.  If you don’t have a wedding planner, and you are the one responsible for keeping things in check, review your budget after each and every purchase.  This way, if you go way over budget on one item, you can move some numbers around on other things and you’ll know exactly where you stand.

2. Shop online.  Shopping online helps you to avoid impulse purchases and actually encourages shopping around for the best deals.  There are many websites devoted to finding you the best price for the item you are looking for – use them! Also, when you’re ready to check out, many website vendors have a coupon code box to fill in.  Don’t skip it! It’s there for a reason.  Look around online for  good coupon codes for that website and you can save some serious cash!

Hiring a Wedding Planner – What You Need to Know

If you’ve recently gotten engaged, you know what a huge task it is to plan a wedding.  Some ladies take pleasure in planning the entire event themselves, while others know that they won’t be able to make it without a wedding planner.  There are several advantages to hiring a wedding planner to help you out, including the following:

  • Wedding planners create a valuable space between you and your family.  Your family may have one idea for your wedding, while you have another.  If this is the case, a wedding planner can help mediate between you and your family, insuring that you get the wedding you want, while your family is not offended.
  • Wedding planners can save you money.  Sometimes wedding planners can get deals on rentals, flowers, etc. that you would be unable to get on your own.  Check your wedding planner blog for tips on how to save money on wedding essentials and create the wedding of your dreams for less.
  • Wedding planners are especially helpful when you are planning a destination wedding.  For instance, South Asian Weddings can help you plan a gorgeous South Asian wedding without even leaving the country.

It’s easy to find a good wedding planner if you know where to look.  Ask other brides for recommendations that can point you in the right direction in finding a  wedding planner to meet all of your needs.  For instance, this San Francisco Wedding Planner has a great reputation and reliable resources.  By doing a little homework and some valuable web research, youwill be able to hire a wedding planner who is right for you.
