Inexpensive Wedding Favors – BALLS!
Today’s featured wedding favor is: BALLS!
You can get these great inexpensive wedding favors from gumballs.com. Design your own label and then use a cheap clear bag for the balls. Simply tape the label together and then attach it to the bag of balls. You can even get the balls in the colors of your wedding.
Another fun alternative is bouncy balls. My friend Christy collects bouncy balls and I got this idea from looking at her huge glass bowl filled with them that sits on her coffee table. It is irresistable!
There are plenty of places online to order these. Of course, most of these companies are used to selling to giant corporations and putting things like “Dell” and “Microsoft” on the balls but they will print anything on them that you like.
These are a great way to turn your reception into a room full of drunken adults acting like 10 year olds. And isn’t that what everyone wants at their wedding?

Music for Weddings that Won’t Make You Gag
If you are having a more traditional wedding and are looking for the perfect music, chances are, this CD will be all you need. Not only does it have Cannon in D – the traditional “walking down the aisle song”, it also has Ode to Joy (great to exit with) and several other classical pieces that make for beautiful music for weddings.
For all you geeks out there who may not want traditional music for weddings, you might try this John Williams box set. It comes with all the great movie classics. One of my most favorite wedding moments ever was when the couple exited to The Imperial March from Star Wars.

Give Your Guests a Slice of Heaven
Look at these gorgeous tiny little wedding cakes.
Just look at em!
These are found at The Yummy Cake Company and are meant to be boxed up and given to guests as favors at the end of the wedding.
I’ve never been to a wedding where the favor was my own personal small wedding cake, but I would love it if someone presented me with one of these! They are beautiful and I can bet that they are pretty darn tasty!
I’m not sure how much they sell for each, but really, you could not get a better wedding favor. This is spectacular compared with some of the other crap that I have seen given away at weddings!

Too Cute Cookie Wedding Favors
Lots of brides really stress out about the wedding favors. The cost, the creativity involved in trying to outshine your friend’s wedding favors, the cluelessness that comes with planning a wedding…
However, these adorable cookie wedding favors could solve all your problems. They are literally so cute you can eat them right up. They are also cost effective…cookies are not very expensive.
And as far as creativity, you would get major points for these!
I’ve never seen this done in person, but I am dying to go to a wedding that has these as favors. I’m sure the bride and groom kept aside a few to eat for themselves on the honeymoon!

Alice in Wonderland Themed Bridal Shower
What a wonderful, wonderful idea. Even if you don’t carry it through with the wedding, having an Alice in Wonderland bridal shower is a crazy awesome idea!
You can set a long table as the tea party from the book or movie and enjoy a wonderful outdoor afternoon of celebrations.
Party favors can be “drink me” vials which have lemon drop shots in them.
Inappropriate?
Of course not.
Fun?
Yes. We think so.
This is beautiful!

Amazing Cupcakery for a Small Beach Wedding
Sometimes small weddings literally take the cake. We had cupcakes for our small beach wedding, but they were of the Day of the Dead variety.
These, however, are not only perfect for a beach themed wedding, but are quite lovely. The presentation is flawless and I can bet you that they are delicious.
Do you plan on having cupcakes at your wedding? If so, how do you plan to present them and how many are you having?
I’d love some feedback on this one.

Outdoor Wedding Reception Ideas
If you are having your wedding reception out of doors, that opens the door for many activities that would be hard to pull off indoors. You can plan games and activities based on the outdoor theme and carry that theme indoors if part of the reception is inside as well.
Depending on where the reception will be held, you can plan many activities based on the setting. Whether it is the park or on a farm, there are a myriad of activities you can plan.

Non Traditional Wedding Guest Book
Most weddings have a guest book that their friends and families can sign when they enter the door of either the wedding or the reception.
This is often quite the traditional guest book and some brides and grooms are just not going for it.
Why would you really want a book with the signatures of the people who came to your wedding? I’m sure some people think it’s important, but I don’t get it.
Instead, you could try something non traditional like this couple. They prepared a canvas with a tree before the wedding and supplied multi-colored ink pads, along with instructions to the guests.
Instead of signing the guest book, each guest provided their thumbprint on the canvas as a leaf. Beautiful, creative, memorable and definitely not traditional!

Our Review of Wedding Speeches for All
Weddings are truly special occasions. A time of celebration, joy, laughter and bliss! And nerves..
The newlywed couple is the highlight of the occasion. Apart from the newlyweds, the food and the decor, the speeches form an integral part of a wedding.
Everyone awaits speeches in a wedding. If for nothing else, to laugh when someone goofs.
Whether it’s the best man, maid of honor, the parents of the bride and groom or the bride or the groom themselves– people wait for speeches.
This puts a considerable amount of pressure on the speakers.
It is a hard task to put down so many emotions and memories in the form of an entertaining few-minutes speech. Both writing and delivering a memorable speech can be quite a nerve-wrecking job.

Fun Pre-Wedding Activities
Planning pre-wedding activities is a little something extra that’s not required, but certainly fun and entertaining for the guests. If the bride and groom keep in mind the distance some guests have traveled and keep activities relevant to that level of fatigue, they’re sure to hit on some winning activities.
As you go about planning activities for the wedding, keep in mind other factors as well. Do many people have children with them? Will you provide childcare or will the children be participants in the activities? If you have several guests who are older, perhaps activities can be tailored in a way they can participate as well.
